Maize Distribution

Over the past few weeks the maize that was purchased earlier in 2024 using gifts from SaltMalawi was successfully distributed to needy families of church members in most of the districts where CDJ has a presence. In total some 400 50 kg bags of maize were distributed to 2,250 seriously affected individuals.

John Seda has asked us to pray about the maize crop that has recently been planted and will hopefully be ready for harvesting in March/April this year. Although the seeds have germinated, the lack of rain in recent weeks has meant that throughout the country the crop is now withering. John is worried about the effect that this will have on the 2025 harvest and he has asked us to pray for rain across the whole country in the next few days and weeks.
